Hi! I’m Katherine von Kraut, a San Francisco–based fashion designer originally from Denver, Colorado. My work celebrates femininity, color, and confidence by blending playful energy with refined craftsmanship. I’m drawn to designing pieces that feel joyful and expressive,the kind of garments that make you think, “That would be so fun to wear.” I often work with soft, elegant fabrics like silk, satin, and chiffon, exploring how they can move, catch light, and transform the mood
of a look.
My design philosophy bridges the worlds of ready-to-wear and conceptual fashion — creating clothes that are both wearable and imaginative. Inspiration comes from many places: the fluidity of nature, the interest of historical references, and the bold individuality I see every day in San Francisco.My creative journey has also led me through styling, modeling, and merchandising, giving me a well-rounded perspective on how design lives beyond the sketch. Above all, I aim to create work that feels alive — pieces that tell stories and celebrate the art of self-expression.
